Cardiff's 28-21 final victory against a much-fancied Toulon was the first European cup win by a Welsh side. Jamie Roberts, Leigh Halfpenny and Bradley Davies scored tries. Ben Blair converted two and kicked two penalties; Leigh Halfpenny also kicked a penalty.
Cardiff reached the final after a superb 18-15 semi-final win away at Wasps and a 55-20 quarter-final win away at Newcastle. Pool highlights included a 15-9 win over Toulouse in Cardiff and a 45-20 away win at Harlequins.
